This is Bristol we're talking about. what do you think it's gonna be?

Folks talk about losing x turn at Monaco, etc. Just look at that track. Same shape, basically, but..

40,000 capacity. Grass in the turns. A view of the mountains. My uncle would take me to races, see Petty, Yarborough, in the 'premium' stands you know, start/finish line, not the cheap 'other stands' you had to walk all the way around to get to if the race was on.

Fast forward, the days of "Bristol Motor Speedway".. Seats, seats and more seats.

About '97 or so, I parked above the track and watched a corner of the race, that last year before they completely closed the loop with stands and skyboxes.

When the tourists became the audience and the local fans were shut out, but at least we had big-time TV coverage if ya had ESPN on the satellite.

100K+ capacity. Just a bowl now.

Kinja'd!!!

In two years, they're going to host a football game there. Oy.

The bus jump? oh yeah. The story behind that.. allegedly the guy's father-in-law did all the trajectory math. Not a touring stunt show with a bit more experience.
